Active First Aid
(Workcover Approved & VETAB Accredited First Aid Certificate)
The First Aid courses hosted by uwsconnect are flexible learning courses provided by the Surf Life Saving NSW. The theory can be learnt at your own pace via a workbook and the course is completed in a one day face-to-face learning session. Upon completion of the course, you will be equipped with the knowledge and skills required to administer first aid to a victim of illness or injury until the arrival of professional medical help.
The flexible learning course allows you to study the theory in your own time, completing the SLSNSW First Aid manual as you go, followed by the 8 hour face-to-face one day course.
All participants deemed competent receive a nationally recognised training qualification, with statement of attainment in the following units of competence: HLTFA301B – Apply First Aid, HLTCPR201A - Perform CPR.
The SLSNSW Active First Aid certificate is valid for three (3) years.
