UWS is a young and dynamic institution with a growing reputation for both academic and sporting excellence. Sport is supported in a number of ways within UWS. Sporting teams and individuals attend regional, national and international university sporting competitions. Sporting scholarships are available, and UWS is also a proud member of the national network of Elite Athlete Friendly Universities (EAFU). For those interested in the more social side of sport there are regular campus based activities to enjoy.
